Cami

This was the first photo I got printed when I got home. This print is dedicated to my other Turkish third culture kids. Something about the vibrance of the colors makes me feel nostalgic for the warm lively culture of Turkey, and the fact that its a “cami” (Turkish for mosque) reminds me of growing up with the call to prayer echoing through the streets. I remember hearing it for the first time when we got to Istanbul - I almost cried. Something so normal had become so distant, and I was finally back.
